Something I always expected to happen...

So this post is going to be a little different, more geared towards people looking to be a cam gril/guy. This morning I got the dreaded "caught my husband masturbating to you" message. I'm happy to say that it turned out far different than I was expecting!! Since the comment is public and can be read by anyone I thought I would take a post to address it, Shelly writes...

"Hey,

I caught my husband masturbating to you on a skype show. I was a bit upset that he didn't even stop when I walked into the room but I soon got over it. (I've been sick so I haven't been doing my wifely duty, so I can't blame him; you probably stopped hime from having an affair, so now I'm actually grateful.)

In fact, I would like to get started in this business myself. I think an unemployed housewife like myself could make some extra money, what is the best way to get started?

Well, firstly I would like to thank you for being so understanding. A lot of women, I have seen friends of mine do this, would get mad and stay there. I'm not saying that these women aren't entitled to feel how they feel, they are totally entitled to feel how ever they feel. Where they so often go wrong is  instead of taking a step back and looking at the situation as a whole they start pointing fingers. Which only serves to hurt feelings, the feelings of them and their partners. Instead you chose to own your feelings and think about what actually happened then draw the logical conclusion. That being everyone has needs and they will find a way to fulfill them.

Fulfillment is part of the reason I do what I do, I love it and so does my partner. It's added a whole new dimension of respect, love and trust to our relationship. I get to be slutty, with out the dangers and he gets to see me be slutty with out the dangers. He gets to fulfill his voyeuristic nature and I get to be an exhibitionist, we both get to fulfill our kinks together in a safe fun way. Since you wanted to know the best way to get started I'm going to give you a little advice.

Being a CamGirl isn't fun all the time, sometimes the work that goes on behind the scenes is tedious and boring! The taxes can be a nightmare if your not prepared, and people can be mean. I had one guy say "its a trap, that's a man!" my response was simple. I laughed, flipped my skirt up so everyone in the room could see my pussy and said "If I'm a man, my surgeon did a damned good job!" He backed down imediatly saying "ohh nevermind, its not a trap."

That may seem like a strange way to react to an insult but it accomplished a few things. One, I remained in control of my room with out having to "bring the ban hammer". Two, it prevented people who may have had doubts about me being female from leaving the room, I'll admit I'm a bit manly in the face. Three, it was funny as hell and provided me with a hilarious cautionary tail.

You may ask why I'm telling you this, because this is not a profession or even a hobby for the thin skinned. People, men and women alike, will come into your chat room and try to tear you down. They will tell you what a slut you are. They will tell you that you are fat, ugly, insecure, a gold digging, attention seeking whore. All of that may be true, only some of it may be true or just as likely none of it is true. Weather its true or not it will make you mad, you have to know how to brush it off and keep the show moving.

The show must go on, you can't let trolls and time wasters get in the way. They will try and there will be lots of them, especially early on. If you let those early trolls win they will keep coming back to torment you, and that's only fun for the trolls. If you tell them to fuck off becasue you are here to have fun, and then you prove it they usually crawl back under their rock. If not you ban them and that's the end of it. Either way you prove that you wont put up with shit, that you value the time of the people who are contributing to the room, and that yes you want to have fun!

I'm not saying these things to scare you off, these are just some simple truths about being a camgirl. Every cammer has horror stories, just remember there is the internet between you and the customers. It's a shield USE IT WISELY! If a troll gets you flustered and you ban him but you just can't calm down. Apologize and log off, a lot of sites auto rate you based on how much money you make per hour. You are less likely to make money if you are on the verge of tears, besides you didn't log on to cry. You logged on to make money, and if you're like me to have fun. Your customers will understand and if they don't that's not your problem.

On top of all of that you have to be sexy, the key is to maintain control and be sexy. If you can do those two things, they sound simple but they are huge, then you can be a camgirl. My best advice is to spend some time on r/sexpositive, r/camming, and r/sexworkers. These are great places to read up and see what people in the industry are doing, if you need someone to talk to you can make an account for free. You should also talk to you're husband about it before you start, it's your body to do with as you please but you should at least see how he feels about it. Not all guys can work through the jealousy and enjoy that their partner cams, I got really lucky.

As for places to start camming, there are a lot to chose from!! If you want to cam for bitcoins then there's always titsforbitcoins or StripArcade. Titsforbitcoins runs a pretty standard show, you log in for however long you want. You flirt for tips and people pay for private shows, by the minute usually. StripArcade is a little different in that you play games with the members and they pay to play, if they win you give them a predetermined reward. The reward and the price of the game is set by you, if you win you can give them a consolation prize also determined before you start.

If you want to cam for USD (or your currency of choice), there's more sites than can be counted. Streamate is decent, Chaturbate is also good both of these sites have plenty of traffic. Then there's my personal favorite Camwhores, which is more hobbyist oriented and you only get one paid show a week. There are a couple of different pay scaled depending on the kind of show you do, you make a minimum of $15 for a full masturbation show. The more paid members who watch the show the more you make, you also get paid very small amounts for participating with the members.

The people on Camwhores are also amazing, the other girls as well as the members. If you want to start full blown camming I would start there, until you're comfortable with being naked in front of a camera. You can always contact me via email with any specific questions, anyone feel free to do so that's why its there!
